Makarios is a local-first desktop application. Your client lists, projects, tasks, time entries, invoices, and other workspace data are stored on your computer — not on our servers. This policy focuses on information we handle through the Website and related services.
Scope

- The Makarios marketing website and checkout flow
- Customer support communications you send to us
- Payment processing handled by our payment provider on our behalf
It does not govern data you create inside the Makarios desktop app after installation. You control that data locally and may export it at any time from the application.
Desktop application data
The Makarios desktop app (Windows and macOS) stores your business data locally on your device. We do not operate a cloud sync service and do not receive your workspace contents unless you voluntarily send them to us (for example, in a support email).
You are responsible for:
- Backing up your data using the built-in export feature
- Securing the devices where Makarios is installed
- Deciding what information to include if you contact support

- Support: Name, email, and message content when you contact us
- Payment: Payment card details are entered on Polar's secure checkout pages — we do not store full card numbers
